The Equal Opportunity Officer of the University of Erfurt in accordance with §6 para. 3 ThürHG has the title "Officer for Equal Opportunity and Family Issues" and supports the Presidium with regard to the goal of a "family-friendly university" (§9 para. 1 Basic Regulations of the University of Erfurt).
The Equal Opportunity Officer of the university works towards the establishment of the constitutionally guaranteed equality of opportunity between the sexes in the university (§6 Para. 5 ThürHG).
She is supported by the deputy Equal Opportunity Officer and the decentralized Equal Opportunity Officers as well as the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board.
The University of Erfurt is a member of the State Conference of Equal Opportunity Officers at Thuringian Universities (LaKoG) and the Federal Conference of Women's and Equal Opportunity Officers at Universities (bukof). The University of Erfurt also participates in the Thuringian Competence Network for Equality (TKG).
On May 12, 2021, the Senate of the University of Erfurt adopted the current Equal Opportunity Plan in accordance with § 4 para. 1 p. 1 GleichstG TH 2013 in conjunction with §§ 6 para. 1, 35 para. 1 No. 10 ThürHG:

The University of Erfurt's Equality Future Concept (2019-2024) was unanimously approved by the University of Erfurt Senate in February 2019 and adopted by the Presidium in May 2019. Within the framework of the Professorinnenprogramm III, it was assessed with the rating "Equality: excellent!". This fulfills the requirement for funding of up to 4 professorships to which women can be appointed.
The two central Equal Opportunity Officers, who are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, are supported by the decentralized Equal Opportunity Officers at the faculties and at the College, respectively.
