This is done on the basis of the following:

  • A systematic analysis of current and future competence requirements, qualification and skilled worker needs in companies along the value chain to develop technological and economic development scenarios and, based on this, identify corresponding qualification needs;
  • Systematic cooperation between research institutions, companies and vocational training providers to develop curricula and training programs;
  • the development, model testing, evaluation and stabilization as well as dissemination of vocational training concepts to meet these qualification needs in cooperation with regional companies, educational institutions and important partners such as networks and institutions.

The BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection) is funding the project until 2028 with a total of 7.6 million euros. The University of Erfurt is also involved in this project with its Department of Vocational Education and Training and will receive just under 593,000 euros of the total funding amount.
