Melanie Haack

Melanie Haack is head of the ZDF regional studio in Thuringia in Erfurt. She studied political science and anthropogeography at the University of Potsdam and completed a traineeship at the ZDF regional studio in Potsdam after completing her university degree. From 2004, Ms Haack was an editor and reporter in the main editorial department for domestic, social and educational policy at ZDF. She is also known to the public from her work as a presenter of the programme "Bilder aus Deutschland" on 3sat and as a reporter for the "Außendienst" on ZDF's "auslandsjournal". From 2018-20, Ms Haack presented the ZDF morning magazine programme. Since 02/2020 she has been head of the ZDF regional studio in Thuringia in Erfurt. Ms Haack has been a member of the University Council of the University of Erfurt since 1 October 2023.
