Climate Connect: Utopien gegen Angst? Was wir von Star Trek für unsere Zukunft lernen können

"A peaceful dream that became reality when we entered the world of the stars," says James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, explaining humanity's great achievements on the way to the 23rd century. Crises and challenges mean that around half of us currently believe that our children and grandchildren will have it worse than us in the future. In the Christmas edition of Climate Connect, we have invited two experts from the Star Trek universe. Together, we discuss what we can learn from Captain Kirk, Picard and co. to whet our appetite for tomorrow - especially in times when today is so difficult. How can we actively work together towards a better future? Look forward to research on climate change and health, combined with science fiction!

I would like to see us get this place right first before we have the arrogance to put significantly flawed civilisations out on to other planets.
