Information from the organiser

In the face of major social challenges, demands are often placed on the education system. The climate crisis, currently one of the greatest challenges facing humanity, is no exception. Schools and teachers should equip young people with the necessary skills, attitudes and motivation to tackle it. But how can climate-related skills be taught? What contribution can schools make to promoting climate-friendly attitudes and behaviour beyond teaching them? And to what extent should and may they influence this at all? In the fifth part of Climate Connect, we will shed light on the perspectives of empirical educational research on climate education and education for sustainable development and explore the possibilities and limits of the school's contribution.

About the series

Climate Connect connects

Climate Connect brings together two experts from different scientific fields. Climate research meets psychology or communication science, medicine meets cognitive science or educational science, health research meets political science, implementation research meets sociology. Both speakers have different expertise and experiences and will present their research on climate-friendly behaviour in a pointed manner. The audience is invited to participate in the current state of research on planetary health behaviour and to jointly provide visionary impulses in science, politics and society.

Climate Connect is aimed at anyone interested in scientific exchange and solutions for more health promotion and climate protection. Become part of the "Missing Link"!
