Digital Founding Safari 2022 incl. matching platform

That was the University of Erfurt's first Digital Founding Safari 2022...

We would like to thank all exhibitors and visitors of our digital trade fair. On June 2nd, 2022, our Digital Founders Safari took place for the first time, organized by the Founders Service of the University of Erfurt and financed by project funds from the BMWi as part of our EXIST project "Social Impact Campus". The service provider Supercrowd Entertainment GmbH supported us significantly in the implementation of a completely digital event with 41 exhibitors* from various areas of the Thuringian and nationwide start-up ecosystem. Various service providers from the field of start-up support as well as start-up teams and founders from various universities in the Thuringian university start-up network cavorted among the exhibitors.

The virtual exhibition center consisted of three different "areas": Social Impact, UNIted Founders and the Supporters Lounge, each of which set different focal points with their respective exhibitors. In addition to visiting the well-stocked stands, the participants were also able to talk to each other individually via video chat. Various group presentations could also be made accessible to a broader public at special tables provided for this purpose.

We are pleased about an overall positive conclusion of this event format, which was carried out for the first time for us. Thanks to the digital implementation, it was still possible to achieve a great effect with a low CO2 footprint, in line with our slogan "Ideas with an effect".

This digital event was aimed at all those interested in founding a company at Thuringian universities as well as start-up teams who are already implementing a start-up project and wanted to use the safari as an exchange platform for their own ideas and cooperation.

Why was it worth participating?

This event offered the unique opportunity to find out about all start-up activities at Thuringian universities and to introduce yourself in a digital and playful way. In addition to founders, potential investors and service providers of the Thuringian start-up ecosystem as well as nationwide initiatives and organizations will also present themselves.

Was the Founding Safari free of charge?

Participation in the Digital Founding Safari was free for both exhibitors and visitors. For the realization or implementation of this event format, funds from the "EXIST-Potentiale" project of the BMWi are used.
