Studium Fundamentale – Seminar „Social Entrepreneurship“
Studium Fundamentale - Seminar "Social Entrepreneurship" on social business idea development: Already since 2012, the topic "Social Entrepreneurship" has been taught in the summer semester as part of a seminar of the Studium Fundamentale at the University of Erfurt. Through the supervision and support of competent lecturers, students learn in teams how social problems can be solved in an entrepreneurial way. In the course of the seminar, they develop business models from their own ideas, which are then presented.
A current StuFu seminar "Social Entrepreneurship" will take place in the summer semester 2021.
The next StuFu seminar "Social Entrepreneurship" will start in the winter semester 2021/2021.
Studium Fundamentale – Seminar „Gründergeist“ zur Geschäftsideenentwicklung
Studium Fundamentale - Seminar "Gründergeist" for business idea development: In cooperation with various external partners, the University of Erfurt's Start-Up Service offers in both the winter and summer semesters a StuFu seminar on the topic of business idea development with the title "Gründergeist". For this purpose, the contents of the 9 most important core areas (customer segments, value propositions, revenue sources, cost structures, resources and partners etc.) for the creation of a solid business model are presented and worked out or applied for the own "Case" compiled and/or applied. The seminar participants are accompanied and supported in the process currently also by an experienced financing companion of the project ThEx microfinance agency.
Faculty-related teaching
Master's specialization module "Social Entrepreneurship" in the Public Policy program
As part of the Master's program in Public Policy, an English-language seminar on social entrepreneurship is always offered in the winter semester. Prof. Dr. Heike Grimm, Aletta Haniel Professor for Public Policy and Entrepreneurship, provides an in-depth understanding of the significance and the various forms of social entrepreneurship. the different forms of social entrepreneurship in an international context. The elective module in the specialization area "Public and Nonprofit Management" provides input through guest speakers, case studies, lectures and student presentations. At the end of the course, students develop their own social enterprises and projects for which they formulate a business plan.

Short inputs for bachelor's and master's programs of different disciplines and faculties
We offer teachers of all faculties and departments the implementation of short inputs on the offers of the start-up service as well as custom-fit lecture-related content blocks on the topic of "founding" and "founding from within the university". These are coordinated in advance with the lecturers in terms of content and scope and serve to achieve central of the target and performance agreement between the university and the Ministry of Economy, Science and Digital Society (TMWWDG). Free online course "Makers of Tomorrow" of the Federal Chancellery
Members of the University of Erfurt have the opportunity to attend a free online video course. The first season of Makers of Tomorrow (MoT) is divided into a total of 10 modules. In each module, well-known founders tell their personal stories, give you an insight into a lean start-up topic and then formulate practical tips and tasks.
