The subproject at the University of Erfurt under the direction of Professor Bettina Hollstein deals with exemplary so-called transformative teaching-learning arrangements (LLA), which are to be evaluated with regard to their sustainability and transformational relevance. On this basis, it will be investigated which conditions are necessary for transformative CLIMATE-LLA to succeed. In addition, quality development measures will be developed. Of particular importance is the cooperation with the association "Zukunftsfähiges Thüringen" (Thuringia fit for future) and its Thuringia Sustainability Centre, which is funded by the state. Through this collaboration, the role of external practice partners for transformative teaching will be identified. Approximately 300,000 euros have been approved for this subproject.
Meanwhile, the University of Applied Sciences in Nordhausen will devote itself to energy production on campus, the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt to the topics of mobility and biodiversity on campus, and TU Ilmenau will establish an accompanying sustainability communication office.
In the climate network, the pilot projects carried out at each of the four locations will be made known to the other participants and adapted to the respective universities, so that the results developed in each case can have a cross-university effect through the network.
Apl. Professor Bettina Hollstein: "I am very much looking forward to this task, which will also give me new insights into the sustainability research of the neighboring universities and will contribute to promoting cooperation for a sustainable future in Thuringia."
