Workshop as part of the "StarTH Now" workshop series organised by the Thuringian university start-up network StarTH

Information from the organisers

Taxes for start-ups - a topic that is often perceived as dry and annoying. But anyone setting up a company - whether small or large - cannot avoid the tax basics.

Finding good tax advice, building trust and getting support right from the start - it pays off. Today, many things are done electronically - the proverbial "shoebox" has had its day. Tax basics are part of the entrepreneurial basics, and advice is available for specialist knowledge and paragraphs - ideally right from the start.

In the workshop, we talk about the tax basics:

  • When do I actually become self-employed?
  • Can everything be done on a freelance basis?
  • What is the "small business regulation"?
  • When do I become liable?
  • What about social security contributions for employees?
  • What are the tax implications of setting up a team?
  • Our tip: Clarify tax issues early on - "sometime" is often too late. Interested? Then let's tackle it together.

What is the StarTH network? The Thuringian university start-up network StarTH connects the start-up advice centres at Thuringian universities and creates a central platform for students, academics and graduates interested in starting a business. The start-up advice centres offer comprehensive advice and coaching services - from initial advice to individual support in all phases of the start-up process and in obtaining funding.
