We have also been represented in the X-like network Bluesky with an account under the name unierfurt.bsky.social (University of Erfurt) since the end of 2023. We use this channel to provide information about events and news of all kinds, and to post service messages or articles that appear in the media about our members of the university.
Threads
Our Uni Erfurt channel on the Thread service (from Instagram) complements our Instagram profile. Those who follow us there will primarily receive event information and service news.
X (former Twitter)
After more than 15 years, we have decided to leave X (formerly Twitter).
There are various reasons for giving up our oldest social network and former news all-rounder. First and foremost, we have unfortunately come to the conclusion that the values and communication culture we represent are no longer in line with the current realities of the platform. The rise of disinformation and hate speech has led us to take this step.
We would like to thank everyone who has accompanied us here and look forward to continuing our communication on other platforms.
The University of Erfurt is also represented on YouTube, probably the best-known video portal. Here you will find videos that provide insights into our research and teaching and introduce our university. By the way, you can watch them without having to register with YouTube.

In addition to the main YouTube account, there is also the "Uni Erfurt Live" channel, which is available in particular for (saved) live streams of events organised by the various faculties and institutions of the University of Erfurt. The respective organisers are responsible for the content.
LinkedIn (and XING)
The University of Erfurt is also represented on the LinkedIn business portal with its own page. We primarily publish job vacancies, announcements about personnel and (research) projects, relevant training programmes, e.g. for (early career) researchers, as well as information on the development of the university. We also share contributions from our university members or decentralised departments and institutions such as the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour or the Department of Communication Science.

In addition to LinkedIn, we are also on the business network XING. There you will also find information on current job vacancies as well as news on personnel and (research) projects. The University of Erfurt 's page on XING can also be accessed without registration.
