Together with the 22nd Erfurt Children's Book Days, it will be officially opened on 6 March 2020 at 6 p.m. with a reading by Alois Prinz in the festival hall of Erfurt City Hall. He will read from the book "Dietrich Bonhoeffer - Wege zur Freiheit" (Dietrich Bonhoeffer - Paths to Freedom) - a sensitive and gripping portrait of the great German humanist and theologian, whose 75th anniversary of death is being celebrated this year. The reading is musically accompanied by Johannes Öllinger with Bach preludes, gospel music and new Bonhoeffer settings.
From March, 9 to March 13, school classes in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 can then listen to one lecture each in the morning at the University of Erfurt and experience a subsequent seminar on various literary topics. Registration is possible from 3 February. Further information on the programme and registration can be found on the University of Erfurt website.
