What role can hope play in overcoming the climate crisis?

"Theology as research on hope? Effects of the climate crisis on theological reflection and religious practice" is the title of a research project in which early-stage researchers from the University of Erfurt and the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg have been working together since April 2024 to explore the effects of the climate crisis on theological research and religious practice.

Andrea Jewellery, Mark Porter, Dominique-Marcel Kosack, Elisabeth Höftberger and study assistant Moritz Huber are not only trying to understand what role hope plays in overcoming the climate crisis, but also how theology can investigate complex phenomena in dialogue with other scientific disciplines.
