New counselling service for employees of the University of Erfurt

From 12 November 2024, the University of Erfurt's Health Management team will be offering a new point of contact – in addition to the MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) contacts – for employees who want to talk about challenges and problems in their private lives as well as conflicts in a professional context.

Now, they will be able to take advantage of a counselling session with Dr Silke Martin. Dr Martin, who holds a doctorate in media culture studies and systemic counselling, has completed relevant training courses, has experience in counselling in the university sector and works independently. Her counselling is subject to confidentiality and no data is passed on. Appointments are made fortnightly on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (on campus and online alternately). Counselling takes place in room 0.09 in the KIZ. To make an appointment, please write to: mail@silkemartin.com. The AOK PLUS-funded programme will initially run for one year in order to determine the needs at the University of Erfurt. The project will be monitored and evaluated as part of a master's thesis.
