Christian Schellhardt has been Head of Administration of the University of Erfurt since October 2023. The Head of Administration is responsible for the budget and for the University's personnel, financial, property and legal matters. He is also responsible for the digitalisation of the administration. His deputy is currently the head of Department 2: Human Resources. The Head of Administration chairs the Senate Committee for Budgetary Affairs.
Short vita
Christian Schellhardt, born 1980 in Erfurt, studied business administration at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. He then worked as a business graduate in various areas of the private sector before joining the university in 2010 as a member of the Planning, Controlling and Reporting staff unit and taking over its management in 2014. In 2020, he took over as Head of Department 5: University Planning, Controlling and Procurement. He was also appointed permanent deputy to the Head of Administration in 2017. In this role, he has already temporarily headed the Office of the Head of Administration since the departure of the then Chancellor in 2022.
