Warning on centrally managed Windows 10 devices

The University Computer and Media Center (URMZ) would like to inform you that the following message will be displayed on all centrally managed Windows 10 devices at the University of Erfurt with immediate effect:

"This PC/notebook is running a version of Windows that will no longer be supported from 15 October 2025. If you already know that a replacement device is in the procurement process, you can ignore this message. Otherwise, please contact the procurement office responsible for you (secretariat, etc.). If you are sure that this is already a Windows 11-capable device, something seems to have gone wrong with the update. In this case, please contact the University Computer and Media Centre (URMZ) ServiceDesk directly (rz@uni-erfurt.de or +49 361 737-5454). Registration on this device is no longer possible from 15.10.2025!"

The message is genuine and will be displayed on the first Monday of every month until 14 October 2025. We ask for your attention.
