Thuringian Student Services Organisation increases prices in the cafeterias in the new year

The Thuringian Student Services Organisation (Studierendenwerk) is increasing prices in the cafeterias from 1 January 2025. According to a press release, this will mitigate cost increases. At the same time, the range, quality and variety of food will not be reduced.

The price of the cheapest meal category for students will be 5 cents higher in future and will then be 2 euros. For employees and guests, the price of the cheapest meal category will increase by 15 cents. All other price categories for students, employees and guests will each increase by 10 cents.

This price adjustment means that the semester contribution for students in Thuringia  can remain unchanged at 85 euros, explains the Student Services Organisation: "The semester contributions and meal prices at the Thuringian Student Services Organisation remain very affordable compared to other university locations nationwide. This means that we can continue to provide high-quality meals at socially acceptable prices."
