Student committee involvement to be recognized as an achievement in the Studium Fundamentale

In the future, the University of Erfurt will recognize the performance of students who actively work in the self-governing bodies for the interests of their status group but also for the shaping and further development of the University of Erfurt itself. This is because they not only take on considerably more work for this commitment, but also develop teamwork, participation and cooperation skills in the meetings and processes of these committees.

Against this background, students who represent their status group in the self-governing bodies and the student body of the University of Erfurt for a complete term of office of one year can in future have this commitment credited once for the Studium Fundamentale (StuFu) module Communicative Studies (SF KS) as a module without examinations (MoP) to the extent of 6 LP. This possibility will be limited to committees for which students have been elected or appointed as representatives. This concerns the following committees: the senate and its advisory committees, the faculty councils, the study commissions, the examination boards as well as the student council, the student representatives and the Equal Opportunity Advisory Board.

The respective election or resolution protocols serve as recognition. In addition, students should submit an ungraded reflection report of no more than three pages.

The Senate had now made a corresponding recommendation to the Bachelor's Examination Committees of the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Catholic Theology, the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences, and the Magister Theologie Examination Committee, following approval by the Board of Studies.
