The collections represent the multifaceted interdisciplinary field of gender history and allow for a scholarly investigation of developments in gender roles and relationships.
The database includes records of organizations and interest groups, guidebook literature as well as personal diaries and correspondence that illuminate both key historical figures and pioneers of gender history and the lives of ordinary men and women. There is also a rich selection of visual material, including photographs, illustrations, posters and objects.
