Under the title "Opportunities and Risks of Artificial Intelligence", Erfurt's universities, in collaboration with the city of Erfurt, are inviting all interested parties to a joint public lecture series for the first time in the summer semester of 2024. Speakers from the University of Erfurt and the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, iba – International University of Cooperative Education, the International University (IU) and the HMU – Health Medical University will shed light on various aspects of AI from different scientific perspectives. The next lecture is on Tuesday, 21 May. Eric Hartmann from the University of Erfurt will speak about "Learning, teaching and working with ChatGPT & Co".
His lecture will provide an insight into the practical application of AI and discuss its implications for areas such as consciousness and intelligence. The aim is to create an understanding of the interfaces between AI and various scientific fields and to initiate critical reflection on its potential applications and challenges.
The event starts at 6.15 pm in the Erfurt city hall, admission is free. Please note, however, that the number of seats is limited to 180.
