BMBF funds the project "KLIMA-Netzwerk für mehr Nachhaltigkeit in Thüringen. Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE)"

Over the next three years, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will provide a total of 1.2 million euros in funding for the project ""KLIMA-Netzwerk für mehr Nachhaltigkeit in Thüringen. Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE)"" (CLIMATE Network for more sustainability in Thuringia as part of the "Transformation Pathways for Sustainable Universities" programme. Education for Sustainable Development). The applicant is Erfurt University of Applied Sciences; the University of Erfurt, Ilmenau University of Technology and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences are also represented in the network.

The subproject, which is being carried out at the University of Erfurt under the direction of Adjunct Professor Bettina Hollstein, is concerned with exemplary so-called "transformative teaching-learning arrangements" (LLA), which are to be evaluated in terms of their sustainability and transformational relevance. On this basis, the conditions required for transformative CLIMATE-LLA to succeed will be analysed. In addition, quality development measures will be developed.

Further information can be found in the news of the University of Erfurt.

"I am very much looking forward to this task, which will also give me new insights into sustainability research at neighbouring universities and help to promote cooperation for a sustainable future in Thuringia."
