A special highlight is the lecture on 25 February 2025 with the author and illustrator Sebastian Meschenmoser, who will give the students an insight into the world of his fantastic stories.

The opening ceremony for the 20th Children's University "Around the Book" in cooperation with the 27th Erfurt Children's Book Days will take place on Monday, 24 February 2025 at 5 p.m. in the ballroom of Erfurt Town Hall. The multi-award-winning author and illustrator Sebastian Meschenmoser will give an insight into his diverse work in a musically framed evening of readings and discussions.
Tickets for this event are available free of charge from 20 January 2025 from the secretariat of the Grundlegung Deutsch subject area (University of Erfurt, teaching building 2/room 203) and from the Peterknecht bookshop.
