The question of women's human rights worldwide represents a difficult key point in the - also socially virulent - discourses on gender and culture, which is dealt with in this study from an ethical point of view. The interdisciplinary and culturally sensitive study systematically explores the topic of women's human rights from a global perspective. Gender-specific aspects of human rights violations are analysed; philosophical, socio-theoretical and socio-ethical perspectives are discussed. The structural and symbolic realisation of gender equality is presented in this study as an approach to sustainably protect women's human rights.
