Why Docata?
With the amendment of the Higher Education Statistics Act in 2016 new requirements were set for the collection and processing of data on doctoral candidates. All state universities are obliged to collect certain data on their doctoral candidates. For the first reports on doctoral student statistics in the years 2017 to 2019, data was collected manually and in some cases subsequently. In order to ensure that the manual compilation of doctoral candidate statistics does not become a permanent solution, it was decided to introduce a university-wide portal for doctoral and postdoctoral administration, in which the faculties or the Max-Weber-Kolleg as well as individual deaneries and staff offices of the central administration of the university will be integrated. In addition, all application procedures related to your doctorate are to be carried out electronically as far as possible.
What happens with your data?
Details of the legal regulations concerning data processing can be found in § 8 of the
General regulations of doctorates at the University of Erfurt (only available in German).
It goes without saying that we treat your data with the utmost care and in accordance with current data protection regulations. For more detailed information please click here: https://docata.uni-erfurt.de/data-protection-privacy(only available in German).
