The layout and user interface have been completely revised - for a more modern and intuitive user experience. The interface is now available not only in German but also in English.
DBIS helps you to find suitable databases for your own research - including both freely accessible titles and those licensed for the University of Erfurt. The databases can be searched according to various criteria and can be started directly from the user interface. Traffic light colours indicate the respective accessibility, e.g. yellow for members of the University of Erfurt on campus. Many licensed databases can also be accessed from off campus via VPN or Shibboleth.
The new interface was developed by the Regensburg University Library as part of a DFG project. In broad co-operation with the (inter)national library system and in line with the current needs of users, it has revised the previous system into a web service. DBIS lists all important information on databases, enables a quick and well-founded selection and allows individual views to be flexibly customised. More than 370 participating institutions are working together cooperatively, including the Erfurt University Library.
