"Tuesday Talks" start with special event "From Ethiopia to Gotha"

The Centre for Transcultural Studies / Gotha Perthes Collection at the University of Erfurt has published its programme of "Tuesday Talks" in the winter semester 2022/23. It starts on October 20 with a special event entitled "Von Äthiopien nach Gotha / When Ethiopia Came to Gotha".

The relationship between Gotha and Ethiopia is linked to a long history and an intensive exchange that continues into the present. Within the framework of the Ethiopian-German scholarship initiative (ResScholarGE) funded by the Gerda Henkel Foundation, the Centre for Transcultural Studies / Gotha Perthes Collection invites all interested parties to the bilingual public evening event. It starts at 6 pm in the auditorium of the "Myconiusschule" (Bürgeraue 23, 99867 Gotha). In addition to a lecture on the history of interdependence between Gotha and Ethiopia, visitors can expect a panel discussion on the topic: "Ethiopian-German research and cooperation networks: How to make a new start?".
