May we introduce? Thorsten Thiel. Since October 10, 2022: Professor Thorsten Thiel. Since then, Thorsten Thiel has namely been the holder of the professorship for "Democracy Promotion and Digital Policy" at the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Erfurt, funded by the state of Thuringia. Previously, he was Head of the "Democracy and Digitization" research group at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society and a research employee at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).
However, Thorsten Thiel is no longer an unknown quantity at the faculty itself - after all, he represented the professorship for "Comparative Government" in the summer semester of 2021. To all others, we introduce the new professor in our research blog "WortMelder".
