Voluntariness Up For Debate – Lecture and Workshop with Sandrine Kott

On June 20, 2022, our team from the subprojects “Voluntariness and Decolonization” and “Voluntariness and Dictatorship” welcome you for a workshop and evening lecture at the Centre for Transcultural Studies in Gotha.

The German Research Council funded group "Voluntariness" cordially invites you to an evening lecture by historian Sandrine Kott (Geneva/New York). Sandrine Kott will deliver a lecture entitled "Planning and engineering in Cold War Europe and beyond. International Organizations at Work." The lecture is based on her recently published book Organiser le monde: Une autre historie de la guerre froide (Seuil, 2021). An English translation is forthcoming. The lecture will begin at 18:00 and will be held in the Seminar Room of the Pagenhaus at the Centre for Transcultural Studies in Gotha.
