Processing of noun composita: psycho- and neurolinguistic studies

The project collects data on language behavior, i.e. on the understanding and production of language. The focus is on the question of how compound words (e.g., "Kugelschreiber" (ballpoint pen) or "Autotür" (car door) are formed or understood. For this purpose, tasks are performed in which object images are named or in which object images are pointed to. The tasks are performed with speech healthy subjects and with patients with aphasic symptoms. The aim is to test existing hypotheses about the processing of composites.
