New team record for city cycling 2024

With 3,419 kilometres, the university members who took part in the city cycling event from 12 August to 1 September set a new team record and cycled three trees.

With 3,419 kilometres, the participating university members set a new team record in the city cycling event from 12 August to 1 September and cycled three trees. The "Uni Erfurt" team was ranked 54th out of 187 teams in the city of Erfurt and clearly surpassed last year's result. With 428 kilometres, Oliver Klein was the team's best kilometre collector. On average, the 24 team members cycled 142 kilometres over the three weeks.

In the "Cycle to work" campaign organised by health partner AOK PLUS, the "Uni Gesundheit" team covered 2,408 kilometres on 225 days between 1 May and 31 August. Head of Administration Christian Schellhardt was also a member of the four-person team, which came 103rd out of 772 teams. The "Uni-Erfurt-East-Wing" team achieved 208th place with 178 days and 1481 kilometres, while the "Health Ambassadors" came in 223rd place with 175 days and 1731 kilometres.
