The costly restoration of two late medieval manuscripts from the valuable and important holdings of the Bibliotheca Amploniana was subsidised and financed in equal parts by federal and University of Erfurt budget funds. The freshly restored codices have just returned from the Leipzig restoration workshop and can now be presented to the public. During an event, not only will the two manuscripts from the early 15th century containing works by Aristotle, among others, be shown in the original, but their restoration will also be explained and placed in the context of the history of the collections and restoration. Visitors can also expect news about the current digitisation and indexing project, in the context of which the third-party funded project was carried out.
Admission is free.
