University of Erfurt welcomes 981 new students for the winter semester

The University of Erfurt started the winter semester 2022/23 with a total of 6134 students.

The number of first-year students in the first semester was 981, including 148 students from abroad who began their studies at the University of Erfurt. The bachelor's programmes in English Studies, German Studies, Educational Science, International Relations, Psychology of Teaching and Learning and Primary Education as well as the master's programmes in Communication Science, Psychology and Public Policy and the Master's of Education programme in Primary Schools met with particularly great interest among the new students.

"We are pleased that despite the challenges of two 'Corona years' we can once again welcome so many new students to campus," says Professor Gerd Mannhaupt, Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Erfurt. "Now we hope that the winter semester, which is marked by the energy crisis, will also go well together. We will make every effort to achieve this."
