Save the Date: Gotha Research Centre lecture programme

In the winter semester 2021/22, the lecture programme of the Gotha Research Centre at the University of Erfurt will again include both classroom and online events.

On 4 November, Dr Adrian Masters (Tübingen) will speak on the topic "Were the 1500s Spanish Indies 'Radical'? Reflections on the Writing and Reading of Global History Today"; on 18 November, PD Dr Tobias Winnerling (Düsseldorf) will ask "How and to what end scholars were forgotten" under the title "Entschwundene Erinnerung"; on 2 December, historian Professor Linda Colley (Princeton) will reflect on her work in the lecture "On Writing The Gun, The Ship, and the Pen" and on 16 December, Dr Vera-Simone Schulz (Florence) will speak on "Art Historical Provincialisations of Europe: Transcultural Dynamics along the Swahili Coast".
