Prof. Dr. Andreas Goldthau Gives Expert Advice on International Energy Security for German Parliamentarians

Russia has disqualified itself as an energy supplier in the long term, the experts, including Prof. Dr. Andreas Goldthau, director of the Brandt School, Maria Pastukhova of the organization "Third Generation Environmentalism," Toralf Pilz of the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) and Dienel Wetzel of the International Energy Agency (IEA) noted when they discussed the topic of "International Energy Security in the Face of Throttled Gas Supplies from Russia" at the Bundestag. Andreas Goldthau put a special focus on the impact of rising prices, supply shortages, and the EU's global energy purchases on emerging economies, which among other things are being squeezed out of the LNG market.
