A new study, now published under the title "Sexkauf" (Buying Sex), concludes that the German regulations for the prostitution trade are not compatible with the Basic Law. One of the authors is Elke Mack, Professor of Christian Social Science and Social Ethics at the University of Erfurt. She has been dealing with the situation of prostitutes in Germany for more than 30 years as a researcher and in advisory institutions.
