Course descriptions for the winter term 2022/23 are out now! From Shakespeare to Star Wars, from classics like Moby Dick to contemporary theater, you can study the whole range of American culture.

What does American Gothic fiction tell us about culture-specific anxieties and repressed desires of the young American nation? How did women, non-white, and queer writers influence the development of the short story in the US? What makes Moby Dick a "classic" of the American literary canon?
