New blog post of the Gotha Research Library: International Conference on the Persian Language in the Multilingual Ottoman Empire

From 27 to 29 April 2023, the conference "Multilingualism, Translation, Transfer: Persian in the Ottoman Empire", organised within the framework of the DFG Priority Programme 1981: Transottomanica with the cooperation of the Gotha Research Library, took place at the Research Centre Gotha. As the contributions at the conference showed, Persian played an important role in literature, education, administration and diplomacy in the multilingual Ottoman Empire.
