The narrative café provides a place where people with local connections tell their life stories or episodes from their lives. In this way, individual experiences convey an idea of how history is subjectively experienced and how personal experience is interwoven with larger historical events. In this context, the political upheaval in Germany in 1989/90 and the changes associated with it are given a central position in the conversations, along with various other thematic fields.
Michael Schröder will be the guest of the narrative café in March. He graduated from high school in Erfurt in 1961 and worked here for many years as a gynecologist after completing his studies. The experiences from this work and other events from his life will now be the focus of the storytelling café. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend.
