Martin Mulsow receives fellowship at the Hamburg New Institute

Professor Martin Mulsow, Director of the Gotha Research Centre at the University of Erfurt, is taking up a fellowship at the Hamburg New Institute from October 2024 to September 2025. During this time, Mulsow will be represented at the Gotha Research Centre by the historian Dr Benjamin Steiner (Frankfurt/Munich).

The Hamburg New Institute brings together renowned fellows from various fields of science, politics, business and civil society to work on the pressing issues of our time and develop concrete solutions for politics and business. Mulsow will participate in various working groups and work on two publications, one of which is on climate change as a challenge for the history of ideas.

Professor Martin Mulsow will be replaced by Dr Benjamin Steiner (Frankfurt/Munich) in the winter semester 2024/25 and the summer semester 2025 in his role as Professor of Cultures of Knowledge in Modern Europe and Director of the Gotha Research Centre. Steiner's work as a historian focuses on the history of entanglements and the history of the body and strengthens the research centre's profile in the history of knowledge.
