Lecture event: "Andy Warhol: A life in art"

Under the title "Andy Warhol: A Life in Art", the Department of Art at the University of Erfurt invites you to an online event on Monday, 15 February. The speaker is Dr. Blake Gopnik, art critic and author for the New York Times. The event will begin at 4 pm.

The slide lecture will explore Warhol's art and his multifaceted identity in light of seven years of research in Warhol's archives. Blake Gopnik has also interviewed more than 300 people who knew and worked with the artist. Gopnik's penetrating new biography of Warhol now calls for a reassessment of the artist's influence and significance on American art and society.

The lecture is open to the public; registration with  Lelah Ferguson is requested. She will then send a link to the Webex event to anyone interested. Participants are invited to join the discussion and Q&A session following the lecture.
