Information about electronically conducted remote exams

The Vice-President for Academic Affairs at the University of Erfurt today informed the students about the upcoming examinations in the summer semester. These will take place digitally as far as possible - in other words: as electronically conducted remote exams.

A corresponding software enables students to write their exams at home under supervision if they have a computer with a webcam and an Internet connection. Both the submission of written papers via WISEflow and the performance of oral remote examinations can be realized with the WISEflow software. This provides the University of Erfurt with an online-based examination system that is secure in terms of data protection.

The Vice President also announced that there will be a limited number of exams for students with poor Internet connections and little or no computer technology.

A corresponding statute must currently still be confirmed by the senate, after which the students will receive further information by e-mail about the concrete regulations for the implementation of the electronic distance learning exams. They will also be given access to the University of Erfurt's system as soon as possible and will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with it. Until then, interested students can inform themselves about the exam system on the website of the software provider UNIwise: https://uniwise.co.uk/.
