It is aimed at advanced students working on their Master's thesis, at doctoral and post-doctoral students working in the broader context of this "Hofmohren" topic who wish to deepen their interest, as well as at employees of museums and similar institutions working on the topic. There will be the opportunity for joint discussion of texts and artistic representations such as paintings and figurative objects, and for independent research in the Gotha archives and collections. There will also be lectures and guided tours of the rich holdings of the research library and the Friedenstein Castle Foundation.
Applications are still possible until 15 July. Further information on the summer school and the application can be found on the website of the Gotha Research Centre.
