Kiron (Kiron Open Higher Education gGmbH) started as a quite traditional (but fully digital) NGO in 2015 to help Syrian refugees entering the German Higher Education system. Over the years, Kiron sharpened it's impact model and value proposition. Furthermore, Kiron turned from a fundraising organisation into a social business. Now, Kiron is a hybrid organisation with a distributed workforce. In the session you will hear about the main milestones and learnings and what might lie ahead of us.
The experienced social entrepreneur Dr. Tobias Ernst is the managing director of Kiron Open Higher Education gGmbH and co-founder of the Match Talent initiative.
The guest lecture is organized in context of the Non-Profit Management and Social Entrepreneurship Specialization of the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt.
