Digital Colloquium: "Dictatorship Experience and Transformation"

The research association "Dictatorship Experience and Transformation" invites you to a colloquium at the University of Erfurt in the winter semester 2020/21. It will take place Thursdays from 16 to 18 o'clock in digital form. The first date is 12 November. Under the title "Counselling, Remembering, Working Through. Peter Wurschi, the Thuringian state commissioner for coming to terms with the SED dictatorship, reports on his work.

Since 1993 there has been a state commissioner in Thuringia to deal with the SED dictatorship. Peter Wurschi has held this position since 2018. He primarily supports and advises those affected on questions of SED injustice, acts as a political-historical educator and conducts academic research. The State Commissioner is the contact person for politicians, scientists, journalists and social actors who deal with questions of coming to terms with the SED dictatorship. Dr. Peter Wurschi will talk about this work and its problems, his new study on the social situation of the victims of the SED dictatorship and perspectives for coming to terms with it on 12 November.

The colloquium will be held digitally via the platform Cisco Webexstatt. (meeting room: https://uni-erfurt.webex.com/meet/DuT.Erfurt). The meeting room will be opened 15 minutes before the start of each event. There is no need to register directly with Webex, you can join the meeting directly via your browser.
