German Intensive Course of the Summer Semester 2023 has started

On 13/03/2023, the semester abroad at the University of Erfurt began for 17 students with a four-week intensive German course, in which English-speaking Master's full students also participate. The exchange students' home universities are in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, England, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Turkey and the USA. The four-week Intensive German Course, organised by the Language Centre, comprises a total of 80 hours of German at three different levels between A0/A1 and lower B1. The International Office supplements the course with an all-round programme of matriculation steps, information events, various guided tours and an intercultural workshop. The group will be completed with 20 more students in April. The home universities of the students arriving in April are in China, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Korea, Turkey and the USA. Instead of taking part in the Intensive Course, they participate in an Orientation Week for exchange students, which is organised parallel to the fourth week of the Intensive Course. The International Office receives indispensable support from a total of 33 student tutors who provide advice and support to the new exchange students. The exchange students will be enrolled in subjects of the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Education.
