Notker Baumann, Professor of Ancient Church History, Patrology and Christian Archaeology at the University of Erfurt, has been appointed a "Cusanuswerk" trusted lecturer for Thuringia.

The "Cusanuswerk" is the scholarship programme of the Catholic Church in Germany. It awards funding to outstanding and committed Catholic students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines and types of higher education institutions and offers its scholarship holders extensive financial and non-material support. This includes a variety of different educational events and diverse spiritual offerings. In the local university groups, the scholarship holders maintain regular exchange across their disciplines.
