"Arts and Talks" with Michael Haspel

In the series "Arts and Talks" on the current situation in Ukraine, the German National Theatre Weimar invites you to an exchange on peace and security policy on Tuesday, 17 May. General Director Hasko Weber welcomes Michael Haspel, whose research foci include peace ethics and the ethics of international relations. The event begins at 8 pm in the foyer.

Before the two of them enter into conversation with the audience on the topic of "Armed Peace?", soprano Heike Porstein, accompanied by André Kassel on the piano, will sing Brecht settings by Hanns Eisler and a peace song. In addition, actress Elke Wieditz will read an excerpt from "Short History of the Tractor in Ukrainian" by Marina Lewycka.

Michael Haspel is a research employee at the Martin Luther Institute at the University of Erfurt. He offers courses in systematic theology, religious education and church history. He is also an adjunct professor of systematic theology at the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena.
