Requirement to wear masks remains in place

The state of Thuringia has reacted to the changes at the federal level and adapted its current Corona Protection Ordinance (Corona-Schutzverordnung) accordingly.

The protection ordinance does not currently provide for any specific regulations for universities, except for the obligation that the universities adapt their infection protection concepts in accordance with the changed legal regulations. For the practice of teaching, it therefore remains the case that teaching is offered in the summer semester in face-to-face mode - with the possibilities for online teaching that the Teaching Obligations Ordinance offers to a limited extent.

In the infection protection concept of the University of Erfurt, the requirement to wear masks in the rooms of the University of Erfurt is maintained as a measure to reduce the risk of infection. This excludes, among others, those persons who take an active speaking role in the event. The other exceptions essentially remain in place. They can be found in the infection protection concept that will be published in the coming days.

At the request of some colleagues, the university is maintaining the agreement on a university-wide enrolment key for this semester as well. Lecturers and students who would like to use it, please enter 2022SoSeUniErfurt in the corresponding Moodle rooms.

The Studierendenwerk has also asked to be informed that with the new regulations, contact tracking via the QR codes will also be ended in the cafeteria. However, only employees and students currently have access to the cafeteria as a "company canteen", and payment is made without cash via the thoska.
