The event is offered as part of the Academic Skills Training programme. Registration is mandatory in order to take part in the event.
Further information on the workshop, the number of participants and registration can be found on the Competence-oriented personnel development for academics website.
The writing workshop consists of a half-day workshop and three individual writing coaching sessions (60 minutes each). The coaching sessions are arranged separately with Dr Liebscher and can be taken up within 4 months.
The workshop covers the specifics of the writing process during the doctorate, the determination of one's own writing type as well as tips and technologies on how doctoral candidates can establish and expand writing routines that best suit their way of working. The workshop is designed to be practical. Trying out writing techniques and exchanging ideas with like-minded people are part of the concept.
In subsequent writing coaching sessions, participants can individually discuss any issues they encounter in their everyday writing and with their specific writing and research task.
Theprerequisite for taking advantage of the writing coaching sessions is prior participation in the workshop.
The coaching sessions are free of charge and you are responsible for organising them yourself. Please make your own arrangements for any cancellations or postponements up to 24 hours in advance. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or are absent without excuse, we will unfortunately have to charge you for the hour.
