Interdisciplinary conference of the professorship for political education, in particular for the political system of Germany.

Information from the organisers

Political judgement is currently being challenged by political polarisation, social singularisation and dwindling trust in media information systems. In view of this situation, many see the power of judgement as a resource of democracy being called into question. What role do the media play in the formation of political judgement? Can political judgement be promoted through political education? What criteria actually characterise political judgement?

The conference aims to discuss this question from a social science, philosophical, legal and media studies perspective and bring the various positions into dialogue with each other.

Participation

We look forward to receiving your registration by 15 March 2025 at the following e-mail address: politische.bildung@uni-erfurt.de. Participation is free of charge.
