Marion Stopfinger studied sociology in Graz. She taught and published on her research foci of war and violence until 2022. Since September 2022, she has been a research assistant at the Point Alpha Foundation and head of the eyewitness project. She conducts narrative (video) interviews on life at the inner-German border. She interviews contemporary witnesses on topics such as escape, Stasi pre-trial detention, forced resettlement and border service.
